Inside CBS Men's Club
The Congregation Beth Shalom Men’s Club is both a fraternal organization and a fundraising arm of the congregation. Many of its activities try to combine these two functions.
The Men’s Club sponsors many fun activities, such as fishing trips, outings to professional baseball games, wine and scotch tasting events, poker tournaments, and an annual Super Bowl Party. In addition, the Men’s Club operates food tables at the Purim Carnival and on Sukkot, helps with building maintenance, participates in the World Wide Tefillin Wrap, annually constructs and dismantles the Sukkah, furnishes ushers for High Holy Day services, and distributes Yom Ha Shoah candles. Men’s Club activities not only raise important funds for the congregation, but they also establish camaraderie and lasting friendships among the members.
Monthly Men’s Club meetings include an interesting and informative guest speaker. The Men’s Club is a warm welcoming group, it will add to your experience at Congregation Beth Shalom and, if you are a newcomer, it will speed and ease your integration into the Temple family.
