A Message From Our President
Thank you for visiting our Website. As the President of Congregation Beth Shalom of Santa Clarita it is my pleasure to welcome you.
At CBS, we are a “sacred community.” We maintain the traditional values of Conservative Judaism: Tikkum Olam, work to repair the world, and Gemillut Chassidim, deeds of loving kindness. We are profoundly committed to bettering our souls and fixing our world through social action, spirituality, prayer and introspection. Our commitment to social action transcends faith, race and gender. As Jews we believe that everything we do matters. So when we mend something in the world, we repair something in ourselves. And when we fix something in ourselves, we make the world a better place. We welcome all who seek the good that your affiliation can bring to you and your family and to the CBS family. Interfaith families are welcome here.
We believe that our future is only as bright and as strong as our children. We are committed to their security, education and emotional development through our Early Childhood Education Center and Religious School, as well as family-centered events and programs designed to reinforce the importance of family, friendship, spirituality and giving back to our community.
We are also a holy community. As Jews, we strive to be extra ordinary in everything that we do. We believe we provide our members with the greatest amount of love and respect they deserve. With your active participation, you can create life-long friendships with other Santa Clarita Valley Jews. Our varied programs are designed to facilitate the wants and desires of our diverse membership.
If you are already a member of CBS, thank you for your commitment to the Jewish community of the Santa Clarita Valley and the greater Jewish community. If you are visiting our website, come see us in person. A great time to visit us is a weekly Shabbat service, either Friday night or Saturday morning. Check out the times of our services under the Worship tab of the website or on our calendar. I look forward to meeting you in person!
